Review!~~
The biggest thing Ive learned about the application of multimedia honesty, is what different forms of multimedia are. I learned about all the different forms of multimedia, and how to mix them together into one big project. For my project, i used graphics, PowerPoint, and Audacity. I used how to apply the different forms of multimedia to my project, and it turned out really good in the end!
With all the new things we've learned in IT this year, there are a million way we could use our new skills for projects in other classes.
-Humanities book report
- Math data projects (maybe you could use Microsoft Excel)
- Science PowerPoint's
- French recordings ( we can record ourselves speaking french)
Probably the most challenging thing this trimester, was the enviormental photography. The actual hardest assignment was the one about 10 reasons to use multimedia, but we had so much time to do it, that it wasn't really so bad. But for the other project, we had to interview our 3 people, take different photos of them, and then put in all into a PowerPoint, in a limited amount of time. So yeah, I think that was the most challenging of all the assignments.
If i could change any of the activities, I'm not actually sure that I would to be honest with you. I quite enjoyed the variety of things that we did. I wouldn't get rid of any of the assignments, but there is one activity that I think the students would quite enjoy that I would add to the curriculum. What I personally would have really liked to do was get with a group of 3-4 people, and do some kind of a photography assignment. I think it would be fun to go around school taking pictures of things, and then writing about what you notice about the object. But other than that, I really don't have any suggestions.
I really enjoyed IT this trimester, and I'm sad that it's over. I used to enjoy knowing that I had IT, because it's a very relaxed class, and we have a lot of fun.
GOOD LUCK TO NEXT TRIMESTERS IT STUDENTS (:

My App. :D

Hey guys, Kailee here again.
Did you ever imagine that you could become a millionaire in under a week? Well, by creating your own app, it's possible! If people really like your app, and many people download it, then it could go from free, to $1.99 in 1 hour! You could make millions of dollars if loads of people downloaded your app, imagine how quickly all the money would add up! If I were to make my own app, here is what I would do.
My app would be called River Rafter, and it would be a fun game, not really useful, but fun.
Although, in ISKL, it could be used for Malaysia Week.
The site leader could show the children what might happen if you weren't careful while white water rafting.
Description:
You are a raft and what you have to do is make it level by level to the end of the river. There are obstacles like river animals, and rocks, and twigs that might pop your raft. You also have to move the boat forward and backward, and side to side. As the levels progress, your boat goes faster and faster, and it gets harder to control. The object of the game is to get to the end of the river before your three lives are over.
The logo for my game is a collage of all the different skills needed in my game. Teamwork, problem-solving,strategy, and patience. The photo represents skills needed in life and also in the game. Without these skills, you wouldn't be able to play the game.
*Please do NOT steal my ideas. This is copyrighted, because if I decide to actually make an app, I should get the money, not you, agreed?*

Iphone/Itouch Apps.
Tap Tap Revenge 3 by Tapulous. I think I would probably choose this app because almost every single person I know that has and Itouch or an Iphone has Tap Tap. It's a very fun game, that is actually quite addicting. Its great because you can choose different songs to play to. Tap Tap is almost the same as the TV game Guitar Hero. The longer the song is, the longer you get to play for. And usually when people are playing with their own electronics, people assume that you are off by yourself, not being very friendly. But with Tap Tap, you can choose the multi player option so you and your friends can play together. $0.99
Skee-Ball by Freeverse, Inc.
This app is number one on the Top-Paid list. Everyone enjoys a good day at the arcade right? This game is a very common arcade game, that many people enjoy. You throw the ball into the hoops, and the hoop that is the hardest to reach is worth the most points. Then once you get enough points, you can exchange your tickets for a prize! This game too, I predict, would be quite addicting. But it looks like a lot of fun, so I think I would buy it if I could! $0.99
Alice In Bomberland by Sonic BOOM, Inc.
This app was only created a day ago, and already its $1.99! That's how popular it is. The object of the game is to save Alice from getting killed. Dynamite is all around you, and you have to try to get away from it. Things also fall on you, and you have to move out of the way to save yourself. I think this app would be quite entertaining. If ever you were angry at someone, I would try to kill Alice on purpose, so you could watch her explode.
Thanks for reading (:

Amazing SlideShows (:

SlideShow 1
Extreme Hair
http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2009/08/12/fashion/20090813-hair-slideshow_index.html
1. What was effective about the presentation
It was effective because it proves to people that you really can do anything you want with your hair, anything at all. This is how some people express themselves, through their hair style and color.
2. What multimedia was used?
Graphics and text. The text explained the insanity of these mind blowing graphics. The graphic that I chose to post was the one I thought was the most dynamic and head turning.
3. What did you want to know more about?
I would like to know how these people got the idea to cut their hair like this. Like how did they get the idea of this cut to tell the hairdresser? Who or what inspired them to actually WANT something like this? I'm thinking that maybe these might be this guy's favorite color, or maybe he just wanted attention (the same attention that kokleong yearns for) (:
4. What emotions did the images evoke.
Amazment. It just amazing to think that people would actually WANT their hair to look like this.It just amazes me to think that they are proud to say hey look, this is me! And that they could be happy to wake up and look in the mirror and see this, and not want to do anything about it.
5. How could you use multimedia slides shows in any class? When everyone else is doing powerpoints, and Imovies and posters, you could do something like this, different and unique. In class when everyone is presenting their creations, it gets pretty boring to watch powerpoint after powerpoint after powerpoint.
SlideShow 2
The Plastic Sandal Reborn
http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2009/08/17/style/global/20090817-iht-shoes-slideshow_index.html
1. What was effective about the presentation
It was effictive because now, you can make really funky and cool shoes just out of plastic. Now insted of just having yucky crocs, there is now more fashionable shoes out of plastic. Plastic is so convinent, if you get marks or watever on them, there very easy to clean. And when you go walking or hiking, if you dont have sneakers, if the soles of the shoes are stable, then they wont b slippery.
2. What multimedia was used?
Pictures and text. The text supported the graphics, and explained about each model of shoe. It told about what brand made the shoe, and just in genral about the model.
3. What did you want to know more about?
Personally I would like to see them making the shoes, like how they do it. I would also like to see if people actually bought and wore these shoes. They look and sound very good, and they look like they would be very good quality, but are they actually as good as they look?
4. What emotions did the images evoke.
Happiness, that there is now something cool and funky, thats plastic so its very easy to wash, and still quite comfortable. Shoe-a-holics would be overjoyed that something as great as this actually exists now.
5. How could you use multimedia slides shows in any class?
*same answer as previous question 5*

Multi-Media SlideShows
1. What was effective about the presentation
It showed how emotional it is to be in the army. Even if that's what you really love, fighting for your country, to feel that you've done something good for your country, but at the end of the day, it really has got to be be one of the hardest and most emotional jobs out there. Loosing close friends, they cant love their job that much to be willing to just let go like that. Can they?
2. What multimedia was used?
Audio, graphics, and text.
3. What did you want to know more about?
How much the lives of the dead guy's friends have been affected outside of the war. Like when they go home, back to their houses, and started socializing again. Then when they go back to work, and then he'll be gone.
4. What emotions did the images evoke.
Sadness, and the pain of death and war. Its very sad for everyone, the people in the war as well as the viewers. It makes me think about how lucky I am to have the wonderful friends that I have, and that their all young and healthy, it's very reassuring.
On the Street
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2009/05/16/fashion/20090517-street-feature/index.html?scp=1&sq=swoosh%20skirts&st=cse
1. What was effective about the presentation
It was talking about this old design of skirt, and its back in style. This guy was in NYC trying to see how many people walked by wearing this skirt. He was telling all about how flashy the skirt is, all the different styles it come in, and basically trying to sell the skirt.
2. What multimedia was used?
Images, text, audio. As the pictures flashed by, the narrator explained the design or fabrics/material it was made of. He was also saying all the great things about this skirt, like how fashionable it is, and how its SO back in style.
3. What did you want to know more about?
I wanted to know about things like how much it costs, and can you buy it everywhere? Or just in the states. It didn't talk about that kind of thing, just talking about the skirt, the design of the skirt, the different styles of it, and how people are wearing them. I would also have liked to know if there is just 1 brand that makes them, or are all the brands bringing them back?
4. What emotions did the images evoke
Nothing really. Not sad, and I guess a little bit of happiness for fashion-istas who are going to rush out and buy this skirt. And for all those people who are really unique, and have been wearing this for years, even if it was WAY out of style, they should be relieved that people are starting to realize how awesome these skirts really are.
